Here's how to find our club at the Old Power Station:
1) Park in the Old Power Station Parking Lot and proceed through the main entrance.
2) Enter the Old Power Station Lobby, make a right hand turn past the cafe, walk past the restrooms, take a left and walk up the half flight of stairs. You'll find the Z1 Academy gym on your right.

Nilson Coelho
Head Coach | Black Belt
Coach Nilson started his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2009 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil training under Professor Joel, a Capoeira Master and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt.
After training 7 years under Professor Joel, he then joined the Sylvio Behring Association in 2016.
In 2018, Coach Nilson officially joined Z1 Academy Angola (an academy that emerged from Gracie Barra Angola) and received his Black Belt under Professor Sergio Lopes in 2022.
Nick Shoombe
Senior Student | Brown Belt
Nick Started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2016 at Z1 Academy Namibia and has become Namibia's first homegrown BJJ Brown Belt.
With a passion for coaching, Nick is one of the main instructors at the academy for both fundamentals and competition classes.
Nick's a man filled with determination, dedication and discipline which is what makes him stand out in competition and in life.
Gelson Narciso
Senior Student | Purple Belt
Gelson started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2018, becoming a Purple Belt and our academy's assistant coach in 2022 due to his remarkable ranking and outstanding performance in competitions across Africa.
Gelson teaches both Kids and Adult's classes as he's dedicated to improving himself at all times through sharing the knowledge he's gained to motivate colleagues to reach their highest potential in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
